As per the guidelines of CUP SCM (Central University of Punjab Student Cooperative Mess), SCM are established for performance evaluation and quality up-gradation of Mess. Quality enhancement is a continuous process, SCM has to become a part of Mess quality enhancement system. It will be a facilitative and participative system of the Mess for planning interventionist strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance food quality.

As per the above directions of SCM, Central University of Punjab has established its SCM with Student Shailesh Kumar (M.Tech) and It's all Member. SCM at the University works for overall quality enhancement in various areas such as Food Quality development, Management process, infrastructure resources and students's support systems.
